Register now for CHAP Dailies 2024!

These one-day workshops are designed to offer a taste of what we do during our 4-day Inclusive Summer Art Workshops, each with a specific theme. These a-la-carte workshops are a great option for busy schedules! 
 
Join the fun! At CHAP, we provide space for children of all abilities to experiment together with a variety of projects. Children will explore the use of different mediums facilitated by talented guest artists and CHAP staff with diverse expertise.  
 
The $75 cost of each Daily covers art supplies and hours of fun, while supporting CHAP's mission to deliver healing art experiences to children and families facing medical challenges. At CHAP, children are known for their creativity and ingenuity and not by their disease, diagnosis, or disability.

This year, CHAP is offering both in-person Dailies at the CHAP studio and virtual sessions via Zoom for greater accessibility for everyone.

Masks are optional in the CHAP studio.

For the virtual day: Sessions will be held on Zoom with plenty of screen breaks. Artmakers will have lots of support from guest artists and CHAP staff if they need assistance during our virtual sessions. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and do their own projects, if they prefer. A Workshop Box will be hand-delivered prior to the session with the art supplies your child will need to participate in the projects.

Select Your Daily or Dailies

Each CHAP Daily is $75 per session per child.
This virtual workshop will explore the beauty, textures, and patterns of coral reefs. Each participant will be sent a box filled with CHAPpy materials for one longer or two shorter virtual art projects. Boxes may include clay, model magic, upcycled items, and other materials to bring your coral creations to life! This workshop will take place via Zoom. The Zoom link, instructions, and detailed project themes will be sent beforehand. *Registration for this workshop will close on 07/22/24 so that boxes can be delivered.
Let’s have an underground adventure with our VIP guests, giant paper-mache bugs! Artists will each pick out a life-size paper-mache bug, this could include crawling or flying insects, and completely transform it into a bug from their imagination! At the end of the workshop, we will have a big bug ball with all our stylin’ new bug friends!
Are you ready to rock out with a band of instruments created from scratch? In this art rockin’ and makin’ workshop, artists will design and create their own instruments using a variety of upcycled and studio materials. Artists can dream up a totally new instrument, or get inspiration from sample instruments in the studio. At the end of the workshop, artist rockstars will get the chance to jam out together and form the greatest art rock band of all time!
This workshop will focus on exploring more advanced techniques, mediums, and art forms for artists that are 11-16 years old.

If parents/guardians need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. A full refund, minus a $20 administrative fee, can be made if parents/guardians notify CHAP at least 7 days before selected Daily date. There are no refunds for unattended days.
