The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is uniting people across the country to challenge the evils of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, ecological devastation, and the nation’s distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. Here in Georgia, we mobilize, organize, register voters, and educate to pressure elected officials to support policies that address poverty and racism.
Your financial contribution will empower this work in the state of Georgia*. We are working to grow the movement as we Wake the Sleeping Giant – the “2.4 million poor and low-income eligible voters who make up 27% of the electorate.” This work leads up to and goes beyond an individual election cycle.
Here is what your donation will support:
- Printed educational materials like our state fact sheets and GOTV and event flyers, etc.
- Printed artwork and placards and materials for events – support our campaign showing up to events, amplifying PPC messaging.
- T-shirts and PPC-branded items – for volunteers at events, as thank you swag, to use for fundraising, etc.
- For transportation to events – helps support impacted speakers and guest speakers coming from long distances to events; bus transportation for groups of guests joining events; etc.
- For event support –to cover location expenses and feed our volunteers and guests when in-kind donations aren’t available at event venues
