Kick Ass Women You Should Know— Rosa Latimer

Flower Hill is honored to announce our 2020 Artist-in-Residence, Rosa Latimer. You are invited to join Ms. Latimer for a presentation and conversation on Kick Ass Women You Should Know. 

 

Rosa Walston Latimer, who lives in Austin, is the award-winning author of a series of books about the establishment of Harvey Houses along the Santa Fe Railroad: Harvey Houses of Texas, Harvey Houses of New Mexico and Harvey Houses of Kansas, which received a “Kansas Notable Book Award” in 2016.

 

In addition to her writing career, Latimer is a writing consultant and instructor. She contributes regularly to a national magazine, has edited both print and online newspapers and was supervising director for a nationally syndicated children’s television program. Latimer has taught memoir and non-fiction writing at the annual West Texas Writers' Academy at West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.
