Led by Karl Holmes, this session will explore seed sowing and propagating by cuttings—both native and non-native perennials and annuals. Karl will discuss affordable lighting options, container types, sowing in individual cells vs. flats, commercially available soil mixes, whether to use a heat lamp, and how to keep your plants growing. There will be ample opportunities for questions and a hands-on component for those interested. You will leave the session with many tips and suggestions to get started immediately, given a few tools.

With years of professional greenhouse experience, Karl has honed his own home-based skills and offers tips and secrets from his 40 years gardening to help you grow your own plants and broaden your gardening experience.
