On Friday, November 8th, help us launch into our 50th year at a special evening of stargazing and sky education!
Friday, November 8th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm
6:30 - 7:15 -- NASA Solar System Ambassador Jen Jones will present a talk about meteor showers! November is home to both the Southern Taurids and the Leonid meteor showers. Jen will discuss where meteor showers come from and why we have them. We'll make a dirty snowball comet and demonstrate how meteors become a part of Earth's yearly orbit.
7:15 - 8:00 -- Ogden Nature Center Assistant Education Director Kylie Friedman will present myths about the constellations and fun facts about the stars and moon.
We'll have a telescope out and warm drinks to enjoy!
This fun event is free, but RSVP is required by November 1st.
