Come give the desert a last minute Christmas gift! We need 30 to 40 people to help us continue to cleanup and GreenUp this area degraded by years of target shooting. This area is next to the new shooting range, once it is cleaned up there is a gate that will keep out shooters and send them back to the shooting range. So everybody, lets clean this up and give our desert the Christmas gift it deserves!
Directions: : From Phoenix take I-17 north to exit 223b / Hwy 74. Go west on Hwy 74 or 10.4 miles to Church camp Rd. You will see a sign before the exit. Turn right on Church Camp Rd and the event site will be ½ mile. There is a gate at the site and parking is on the side of the road right before it.
Please wear pants and boots (or at a minimum closed toed shoes) along with perferably long sleeves, reusable water bottle, and hat/sun screen for sun protection. Reminder you will be in the desert environment which will have stickers, bugs, and other natural species so it is imporant to dress appropriately. Gloves, safety vests, tools, and water will be provided.
*Volunteer waivers will be provided on site and will be required to complete before volunteering. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent or guardian's signature, pleaes let us know ahead of time if you need a copy of the youth waiver prior to the event.
