For which day are you volunteering?
I understand that I need to provide my own food, water, and other items that I may need to be comfortable on this trip.
I understand that I am making a commitment to attend this habitat project and that Think Wild staff rely on me to uphold my commitment. I know that cancelling without sufficient notice (at least a week if possible) puts an extra burden on other volunteers, on the field crew, and on Think Wild staff to seek a last-minute replacement, which oftentimes is not possible.
Have you completed a Think Wild volunteer orientation? These orientations are mandatory. You can find upcoming orientation opportunities, both in-person and on Zoom here: https://www.thinkwildco.org/education/volunteer-calendar/
I understand that attending these projects can involve long days in difficult environmental conditions such as rain, wind, cold temperatures, and excessive heat. I am committed and prepared to bring clothing and gear that will suit a variety of Central Oregon weather.
I understand that while on this trip I may have to lift, carry, transport, and handle cumbersome bundles of sticks off-trail and on uneven terrain. I am aware that work days may last up to 8 hours.
