Explorers Uncorked Tickets

Join us for an extraordinary evening of adventure and connection at "Explorers Uncorked"! Hosted by the Roy Chapman Andrews Society, this virtual event hosted on Zoom will bring together our esteemed society members and past Distinguished Explorer Award Recipients for an unforgettable experience. We hope you can join in on the fun on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00 PM CST!

Indulge your senses as we embark on a journey through the world of wine from the comfort of your own home. During this event, we will be recommending a handpicked selection of wines for you to enjoy, which are available for purchase closer to the event date. Sip on these exquisite wines while listening to captivating updates from renowned explorers (who also are enjoying a glass - or two!) about their recent work and expeditions. From thrilling discoveries to untamed landscapes, these explorers will transport you to the farthest corners of the world.

Not only will you have the opportunity to connect with fellow adventure enthusiasts, but you will also contribute to a worthy cause. "Explorers Uncorked" aims to raise funds to support the incredible work of the Roy Chapman Andrews Society in advancing scientific exploration and conservation efforts.

Our first featured explorer is none other than 2022 Distinguished Explorer Award Recipient Dr. Philip Currie!

Currie’s field areas stretch from pole to pole, including sites in Canada, Argentina, and the Gobi Desert of China and Mongolia. He has led or co-led most of these multidisciplinary and, commonly, multinational expeditions.

His “labs” have included The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology and the University of Alberta Laboratory of Paleontology, where he holds curator positions. His work has advanced the evolutionary link between dinosaurs and birds and provided evidence of group behavior in carnivorous dinosaurs.

Currie has published hundreds of scientific articles and book chapters and has authored, co-authored, or edited more than 15 books. He has given thousands (!) of talks and interviews.

Currie’s similarities to Roy Chapman Andrews, particularly his ties to museums, work in the Gobi Desert, and devotion to public outreach, make his selection as the 20th recipient of the award particularly significant.

So, grab your glass and get ready to uncork a world of wonder! Reserve your spot now and join us on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00 PM CST for an evening that combines the thrill of exploration with the pleasure of fine wine. Upon registering, you will receive an email confirmation. Closer to the event date, instructions will be sent on how to access the Zoom Meeting to join Explorers Uncorked.

Together, let's celebrate the spirit of discovery, make a difference, and enjoy a recommended wine selection that will tantalize your taste buds.

We look forward to raising a toast with you at "Explorers Uncorked"!
