As we near our High Holy Days, we are excited to present to students and the broader community a variety of services and opportunities for meaningful reflection and engagement. All of our prayer opportunities are open to and strive to be inclusive of everyone, no matter your background. Services will be led by Rabbi Stephanie Max and Rabbi Andy Weissfeld, with support from students. Our team will also provide several other opportunities for creative engagement with the chaggim through study, discussion, yoga/mindfulness, and other mediums.

We are pleased to be able to provide High Holiday services, meals, and activities to current undergraduate and graduate students at no cost.

Suggested donation amounts for service ticket pacakages & meals are noted below for non-students.

Young alumni (graduated 2020-2024):

  • $18 for all services for each holiday or $36 for all services for both holidays
  • $54 per meal
  • $18 suggested donation for bagel lunch & break-the-fast

Children ages 3-12:

  • No cost for services
  • $18 per meal
  • No cost for bagel lunch & break-the-fast

Alumni, Community Members, Parents, Faculty/Staff:

  • $180 for all services for each holiday or $360 for all services for both holidays
  • $54 per meal
  • $18 suggested donation for bagel lunch & break-the-fast

**Registration deadline for Yom Kippur meals is October 4 at 11:59pm - if it is past the deadline, please email Jordenne at jparker@texashillel.org to get added to the list for meals. You may still register for services up until the start time.

High Holiday Services and Other Actvities

Rosh Hashanah

Both of our Rosh Hashanah service options will be egalitarian in nature. One service will be in English and Hebrew with musical instruments and one service will be Traditional Egalitarian style in Hebrew (translation provided) without instruments.

Erev Rosh Hashana

Rosh Hashana Day One

Translation will be provided and this service will be without musical instruments.

Rosh Hashana Day Two

Translation will be provided and this service will be without musical instruments.

Yom Kippur

We will offer one service option for Yom Kippur and it will be a Traditional Egalitarian service, primarily in Hebrew with interspersed English. Translation will be provided.

Please select the tickets you need for services and meals. Note that we have different pricing options for students, non-students, and children. Services and meals for current undergraduate and graduate students are offered at no cost, but registration is required in order to ensure we have enough seats and food. Thank you!
