While participating as a volunteer with the River Revitalization Foundation (RRF) and/or any of its related recreational events and activities, mainly outdoor work in and around the river trails, I acknowledge and agree that:

There exist numerous risks of injury from the activity, including serious injury or sickness, and while equipment and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist;
There exist potential hazards that may exacerbate those risks;
I certify that I am sufficiently physically fit to participate as a volunteer in the event or activities;
I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others and assume full responsibility for my participation;
I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and immediately inform RRF staff;
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representative or next of kin, agree not to sue and instead hereby release and hold harmless the organizers, including RRF and all those associated, and its officers, directors, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct event or activity (releasees), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise; and
In addition, I give permission for RRF to use my name and any photographs or videos taken of me in connection with the event or activity for all legitimate purposes.

I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, INDICATE THAT IT ACCURATELY REPRESENTS THE AGREEMENT ARRIVED AT BY ME AND THE RELEASEES TO GIVE UP THESE RIGHTS IN CONSIDERATION FOR ALLOWING ME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITY OR EVENT, SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, AND AGREE THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID, THE BALANCE SHALL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
