Contagious Fiction

Over the past few months, our lives seem to have plunged into a dystopian future imagined only in fiction. In this class, we will indulge our fears with a deep dive into three of the most popular fiction novels about epidemics: The Plague by Albert Camus, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mendel, and World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks.

Instructor: Carli F. Leone is an English professor who teaches writing at Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, and Tri-C. Her scholarship explores the intersection of medicine and literature. She received her Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Chicago.

Details: Contagious Fiction with Carli Leone is a three-session class which takes place every other Sunday on Oct 4, Oct 18, & Nov 1 from 2-4pm remotely through Zoom. Register and we will send along information about how to connect via Zoom.
