Businesses must meet the following criteria to qualify for partner membership.
1. Farmers: Must sell products to at least one VFN member chef / restaurant and be located in Vermont or within 30 miles of Vermont.
2. Specialty Foods / Food Processor: Must either purchase regularly from 4 VFN partner farmers or source primarily locally grown or raised ingredients.
"Primary Ingredient" means more than 50% (not counting water) by weight, volume, or value. If you have no single primary ingredient, more than 50% of ingredients (weight, volume, or value) must be from Vermont (+30 miles).
Answers to the following questions are for office use only and not published. If you don't currently meet Partner Member criteria, a Supporting Member option is also available - the cost will be discounted from dues if you join as a full Partner Member within the year.
The number one request we hear from VFN Partner Members is that they want more marketing assistance. We're happy to oblige, but "marketing assistance" covers a lot of topics and a lot of types of assistance. To help us better understand our members' interests in this area, we've designed a short, 5 minute survey. It's optional but this is shaping your member benefits so we hope you'll take a few minutes to answer! We welcome donations to our Conference Program, which provides funds for Vermont food system professionals to attend nationally significant conferences and gatherings, then share what they learned throughout the network back home in Vermont.
