In May, our monthly walk will introduce you to Sowams Woods, a 12.3-acre network of trails owned and managed by the Barrington Land Conservation Trust. The terrain is gentle but may be wet in places. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy, water-resistant footwear. In the event of bad weather, we'll contact you to reschedule.
This is a "go at your own pace" walk for all ages, traversing 1.5 miles. The guided walk will last a little over one hour. We will provide you with a map, so you are welcome to go faster or slower if you prefer a self-guided experience.
We'll meet and park in the dirt parking area at the juncture of North Lake Drive and the former South Lake Drive in Barrington, RI (see below).
