Oregon Main Street Conference 2022

Welcome to the 2022 Oregon Main Street Conference registration page! Please use this page if you are registering yourself as either an attendee or speaker/presenter, or if you are the point of contact for registering a group (see discounted registration rates for groups of 3+ below!). 

Please note the Add-On Excursions below - these excursions have been prepackaged by conference staff to give you some extra time to explore the Klamath Falls area. We hope you'll consider staying for the weekend after the conference to experience everything our region has to offer! If you decide later to register for one of the Add-On Excursions, you can return to this form and register only for the add-ons.

Explore Southern Oregon Invites You On A Guided Tour of Crater Lake!

MEET AT: South Portal Building (205 Riverside Drive) 20 minutes prior to scheduled tour

COST: FREE! Thank you to Discover Klamath Visitor & Convention Bureau for sponsoring these Crater Lake excursions (valued at $99) at no cost to conference attendees!

Spend a half day taking in the breathtaking views of dazzling, deep blue water alongside volcanic islands at Crater Lake National Park, the deepest lake in the United States. In this half-day tour, you will explore the caldera formed by the eruption and collapse of Mt. Mazama thousands of years ago, where centuries of rainfall and snow melt have filled this crater to create the purest large body of water in the world. You will be led on an informative journey along Rim Drive with plenty of opportunities to learn about the hidden gems at Crater Lake. We warn you in advance - four hours isn't enough. You'll want to come back very soon and experience the rest! Tour operated by Explore Southern Oregon

Transportation, snacks, bottled water, and a fun tour guide all included!

(Tours are available other dates before, during and after the conference - contact the tour operator to sign up on  your own schedule!)

In the event that more people sign up for these tours than capacity will allow, seats will be provided on a first-come, first served basis and additional attendees will be added to a waiting list if seats become available.
Upper Link River Walking Tour

From the outlet of Oregon’s largest lake to the falls that gave the town its name, this tour will examine why this spot naturally drew the attention of Indigenous people, European explorers and white settlers. Topics will include the peculiar behavior of an inland lake, diversions for agriculture and power, and one of the region’s most famous birding hotspots. Tour covers a half-mile on a level gravel road.

Baldwin Hotel Museum Tour

MEET AT: Baldwin Hotel Museum

MAX TOUR CAPACITY: Unlimited

COST: FREE! Sponsored by Klamath County Museum

A four-story brick building that towered over the early landscape of Klamath Falls serves as a giant time capsule of local history. Originally designed as a commercial building in 1905, the Baldwin block was repurposed as a hotel in 1911, and re-invented again in 1978 as a museum. This tour will explore just a few of the 40-plus rooms that each tell a piece of the town’s story.

Klamath County Museum Tour

The Klamath County Museum is the typical starting point for visitors exploring the Upper Klamath River Basin for the first time. Interpretive exhibits cover the Modoc Indian War of 1872-73, the Japanese balloon bomb explosion that killed six local residents, and many more stories of regional significance. A special back-room tour for conference attendees will feature artifacts too sensitive to display permanently.
