Spring Into Action for the
NW Community Bail Fund!

For our 2024 Spring Fundraiser, we need your help in our fight against wealth-based incarceration! The Northwest Community Bail Fund (NCBF) has posted over 4,000 bails since 2016, thanks to community members like you.

Pretrial incarceration negatively impacts health, due to rapid spread of viruses like flu and COVID, combined with reduced access to medical care, medications and mental health treatments. Spending time in jail is associated with increased exposure to violence, including assault, rape, murder and suicide, while simultaneously damaging work and social connections, and increasing the pressure to plead guilty. The unintended consequences can be lasting and are not shown to improve public safety.
 
We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, EIN 83-1096468. We currently operate in King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties in Washington State. Donations to NCBF are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
