Sunday's field trips are simultaneous. Pick only one.
A. Fins & Feathers
Description: Fishing/birding, Come experience the beauty, richness and remoteness of Hayfields Reserve in Highland County by joining us for a day of fishing and birding.
B. Hike North River Gorge on Shenandoah Mountain

Out-and-back hike sponsored by Friends of Shenandoah Mountain to explore the North River Gorge in the 90,000-acre proposed Shenandoah Mountain National Scenic Area

C. Farm Tour

Visit a Shenandoah Valley farm to learn about implementation of BMPs and how conservation easement tax incentives can fund further conservation.

D. Battlefield Conservation Tour

Using a car-caravan system, this trip will cover the events and sites of these two battles while expanding on efforts to protect the region’s historic sites and landscape.

E. "The Friendly City" Downtown Walking Tour

Join a walking tour to see downtown Harrisonburg’s revitalization and restoration efforts.

Monday, August 10— Conference Field Trips

Monday's field trips take place during other conference sessions.
F. Managing Public Access

A 2.5-hour hike in Shenandoah National Park with conversations about managing public access, visitor safety, resource protection and more. Note: This takes place during VaULT business meeting.

G. Northend Greenway Bike Trip

Enjoy a 6.5 mile urban bike tour led by Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition's Executive Director Kyle Lawrence. Note: This takes place during both afternoon sessions.

H. Blacks Run/Purcell Park Restoration Tour/EAB

A walk along a stretch of Black's Run, where Valley Conservation Council, The Nature Conservancy, and the City of Harrisonburg restored the stream to a nautral state. Note: This trip takes place during one afternoon session.
