Women and Their Woods: 2024 Educational Retreat Application

Sunday, September 15th - Wednesday, September 18th 2024

Women forest landowners and aspiring landowners from across the mid-Atlantic region are invited to attend an educational retreat to learn more about managing their forestland and connect with other forest landowners. The retreat will be held at the Highlights Foundation Workshop Facility in Boyd's Mill, Milanville, PA in scenic Wayne County. Space at the retreat is limited and applications are due by August 30, 2024.

Release of Liability and Permission for Photography

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in an activity of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy I, for myself, my personal representatives, administrators, heirs, assigns and next of kin, hereby execute this Release of Liability (“Release”) in favor of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy.

By signing below, I agree to all the conditions stated herein, and accept all legal liability associated with participation in the Activity.

I understand that risks and hazards, foreseen and unforeseen are an inherent part of any such outdoor activity, and I assume all liability for any bodily injury or property damage which may occur as a result of accidents or injuries. These risks may be caused by my actions or by inactions of others, and may result in social or economic losses, costs and damages which have resulted from participating in the Activity. I fully accept and assume all such risks and responsibility for losses, costs, and damages incurred as a result of participation in the Activity.

I understand the nature of outdoor activity and acknowledge and agree that I am in good health and proper physical condition to participate.

I hereby release, discharge and covenant not to sue Delaware Highlands Conservancy, its directors, agents, officers, members, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the Activity takes place, collectively referred to as “RELEASEES” herein, from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the “RELEASEES” to the full extent permitted by law.

By signing below I also give permission for the Delaware Highlands Conservancy to use photographs and video of me from this event with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example in publications, on the website and in press releases to newspapers.
