Camp Description: This camp will encourage STEAM learning and explore the intersection of fashion and technology. Our end goal is to encourage campers to role play and connect fashion and technology by working together to design programmable wearables using circuits. Safety first! On day one, Lillia, our Denton digital seamstress and content creator, will teach the campers about sewing safety, threading, stitching, design, and introduce the campers to fabrics. We will then create the first piece of their costume. On day two, we will safely walk across the street to visit Rose’s Costumes for a behind-the-scenes look at how their costumes are designed, constructed, and used. On day three, campers will be encouraged to work together to design programmable wearables.
