WAC Speaker Series - Preventing Conflict: Global Hotspots in 2020

The World Affairs Council is partnering with the global humanitarian organization, Mercy Corps, for a panel discussion exploring the global hotspots where conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts will be critical in the next few years. Topics will include how US government and development agencies can reduce violence in high-priority and fragile states, efforts already underway, and the outlook for the next decade.

Jake Harriman, Founder & CEO, Nuru International 

Moderated by Uzra Zeya. She is the President and CEO of the Alliance for Peacebuilding and who previously served as the U.S. Charge d'Affaires at Embassy Paris and Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.
