Realizing that families have different abilities to pay, Historic Johnson Farm & the Arts Council of Henderson County are instituting a voluntary three-tier fee program for Farm Camp in 2021.
Individuals who donate to the organizations General Fund as well as the families who can pay the highest tier pricing make it possible for us to offer a lower rate for those families who can’t afford rising prices in a tough economy.
The ultimate goal is to keep camp accessible for everyone who wants to come. If you want to be at camp, we want you to be at camp, regardless of finances.
You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family. It is really an honor system; you tell us what is affordable for your family. All campers receive the same Farm Camp experience no matter what they pay. When you register for camp, simply select the option that best matches your financial means, and continue with the checkout process as usual. No need to apply for lower pricing tiers; no explanations necessary. The tier you select is completely confidential, and does not alter your child’s experience at camp in the slightest.
Tier 1: $100-is our subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating summer camp programs.
Tier 2: $150-is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still cannot afford the actual cost of camp.
Tier 3: $200-more closely accounts for the true costs of camp including supplies and wear and tear of building and grounds.
