Throughout February 2023, The READ Center will be celebrating our first Adult Literacy Advocacy Month! We'll be recognized by the City of Richmond on February 9th and then by the Virginia State Senate on February 16th.
To celebrate this month, expand awareness on adult literacy, and inspire action we are asking all book lovers to help us spread the love of reading by sharing with us your favorite book(s), or what you're currently reading, and donating the current cost of that book to The READ Center to support future advocacy efforts & adult literacy programs.
Being able to read well may be second nature for you but there are many adults who do not have the luxury of reading for pleasure or to learn. With your support, we can provide low-literate adults with the skills to help them learn and experience the love of reading. Thank you for your support!
