Teaching Artist Workshop-The Sound of Shadows

February 19, 2022- 9:00 am- noon

Don’t be afraid of the dark, as you discover how to use shadow puppetry and soundscapes to create rigorous, project-based learning modules that provoke deep learning, positive social emotional growth, and artistic innovation. We will write scripts, engineer puppets, create sound effects, & put it all together in a performance. In addition to hands on experience with shadow puppetry and soundscapes, participants will also receive an arts-based framework for PBL, sample lesson plans, resource lists, assessment tools, and plans for building their own shadow screen.

The cost is $10 per participant. Ticket price can be refunded after completion of workshop if needed. Please email christine@neighborhoodnorth.com to request.

Promotional Release

I give Neighborhood North Museum of Play permission to use photos, videos, and audio of myself and my child(ren) in promotional materials that support Neighborhood North and its programs. I release Neighborhood North from any liability connected with the use of our picture or voice recording as a part of any promotional recruitment or fundraising programs.
