For this year's PRIDE, LRP wanted to set you up for success. And that's why we're holding our first-ever convention!
All money raised will go toward our mission of "creating a more just and equitable society" for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities. During this virtual convention, we'll have informative, educational, and entertaining panels which you can read about below.

Day 1, Friday: June 11th
Youth Speaks (3pm to 4pm)-spoken word and poetry readings by youth ambassadors from the Washington-based nonprofit Youth Speaks.

Breath to Life (4pm to 6pm)- conversations around coping and healing without physical community in the pandemic. Session will be centered around joyful healing and include practices such as breath work ,movement, vocal/sound healing and indigenous modalities.

Day 2, Saturday: June 12th
Basics of Budget for Beginners (1pm to 2pm)-workshop session led by a financial guide providing information around how to build a solid financial foundation for mid and lower-income individuals.

Ballroom Basics with Aisha (2pm to 3pm)- learn the foundation of vogue in the ballroom by exploring some of the basic elements including hands, face, pose, and runway.
Ballroom & the Chosen Family (3:30pm to 4:30pm)-a conversation on the history and intertwined relationship of the ballroom scene and chosen family. Presenters will discuss the significance of chosen families and impact said families have had on them personally and within the ballroom scene overall.

Day 3, Sunday: June 13th
Buffing Up Your Resume (12pm to 1pm)- workshop session focused on providing attendees practical tips around resume building and walking them through the general process of crafting a successful resume.

Self-Publishing for Beginners (1pm to 2pm)-presentation for aspiring and new authors interested in self-publication. Presentation will take attendees through the entire publication process and give insights into what it means to be a self-published author.
