Saturday, May 22 | 9am - 2pm

Ages 16 and up

Location: Meet at the Learning Center located behind the Manor House at the North end of the property, 79 Farmstead Lane, Wappingers Falls, NY.

Workshop Description: Dive into the joys of creating natural, beautiful color from the resources right here in the Hudson Valley. In this class we’ll explore the many ways to prepare protein fibers for the natural dye bath and the countless colors you can coax from flowers, plants, food waste and more! Participants will be dyeing a skein of SKF Tunis wool in one natural dye bath.

Workshop Leader Bio: Jenny O’Toole is a native of the Hudson Valley and has long been inspired by the beauty that surrounds her. She started natural dyeing in 2018 with marigolds from her garden and the joy she’s found in that has grown into a small business- Forage & Sow Dye Works. As an avid gardener and knitter, and mother of two, Jenny aims to share the importance of the slow wool movement and how we can all do our part and contribute less waste.
