Genesee Valley Park
Join us for a leisurely stroll at Genesee Valley Park to enjoy the sights and sounds of Fall including leaves, birds, and a brief history of this great park. We’ll meet at the parking lot off Moore Road next to the Roundhouse Shelter at Genesee Valley Park. Flat, paved trails will lead us to Curtis Point, a flat grassy area, which overlooks the Genesee River and Erie Canal. This is a slow-paced event with multiple stops along the 0.6-mile loop. There are restrooms available 220’ from the parking lot. ASL Interpreter available on request at least a week prior to the event (by 10/5).
We are happy to talk with you about any accessibility questions. With questions please reach out to Kevin Farrell at kfarrell@geneseelandtrust.org.
Parking for this event is near the Roundhouse Shelter, off of Moore Road in Genesee Valley Park. The trail surface is paved asphalt ranging in widths between 5-10’. Running and cross slopes are between 1-3%, with one 30’ section with a cross slope of 4%. There are two sections of approximately 20’ and 100’ where the asphalt is uneven and bumpy. In one area there are several humps in the trail from underground roots from nearby trees. About 220’ from the parking lot there are six restrooms that are about 6’ by 6’. There is one bench, 5’ off the trail halfway through the trail. You are welcome to bring seating for the stops we will take. For photos of the area or to speak more about trail conditions, contact Kevin Farrell.
