May 30th: Part I: Trail Accessibility Assessment and Inclusive Information Virtual Training

This training is relevant for attendance by folks in a variety of roles from tourism partners, front desk, administration and communications, park rangers, maintenance workers and volunteers with direct contact with the public.

The 2-hour virtual training will include a one-hour presentation from Access Recreation (AR) on the "Guidelines for Providing Trail Information to People with Disabilities" and the supporting project: AccessTrails.

Patrick Stark from the US Fish and Wildlife Service will provide a trail agency perspective.

Approximately one-hour will be spent in Q&A that will give participants the opportunity to provide thoughts, questions and incites with the AR and FWS presenters.

Offered with support from Travel Oregon and the Oregon Trails Fund and the Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge Regional Tourism Alliance.

Note: Anyone is welcome to attend this Part I of a two-part training that also includes a three-hour onsite field assessment. Your confirmation email will include further information about an onsite training on June 1st in the Zigzag Ranger District of Mt. Hood NF with limited spots as well as how to schedule an onsite assessment with Access Trails.
