Trunk or Treat Registration 2024

Thank you for your interest in joining us for Trick or Treat at West Overton Village! We are excited to celebrate Halloween with our community. Your participation will greatly expand the number of candy stops visitors can make while trick-or-treating.

Below are details about the event. We will provide more information about participating and updates about our expected number of visitors as the date gets closer.

Please reach out to Pam Curtin, Director of Visitor Engagement, at pam@westovertonvillage.org with any questions or concerns.

General Information

  • The event will take place on Sunday, October 20, from 3 - 6 p.m.
  • West Overton Village will offer trick-or-treating at several historic buildings around the property. The Museum will be open with free admission. The Summer Kitchen will serve cider and the Educational Distillery will serve fall cocktails.
  • Trunk or Treat will take place in a small parking lot along Frick Avenue. The road will be closed during the event.

Vehicle Space / Set Up and Break Down

  • Each participant receives a regular parking space. Please keep decorations within the designated space.
  • Please have your station set up and ready for trick-or-treaters by 2:45 p.m.
  • For safety reasons, please plan to stay parked and keep your station decorated until 6 p.m. You can break down your decorations and leave after the event ends.

Decorating and Costumes

  • We encourage you to decorate and theme your station. Decorations can range from classic Halloween to pop culture. Consider ideas that may be familiar and memorable to children. We welcome your creativity!
  • To maintain the inclusive, family friendly nature of this event, decorations and/or costumes cannot be scary, graphic, or inappropriate. We reserve the right to ask for decorations to be changed or removed. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
  • If relevant, your display may include a sign and handouts related to your organization or business.

Candy and Treats

  • For treats, please bring only store-bought, individually-wrapped treats such as candy, pretzels, crackers, or chips.
  • You may also give out kid-safe, non-candy treats such as bubbles, stickers, bracelets, small toys, or light-up novelties (these treats are great for including kids with allergies and food sensitivities).
