We are not onboarding new volunteers at this time due to capacity. We will keep your information on file, however, and reach back out as soon as volunteer opportunities open back up. We sincerely appreciate your patience, and will be in touch soon.

Volunteer opportunities include four distinct areas: prison monitoring, prison communications, fundraising, and administrative support. All questions should be filled out regardless of your expressed area of interest. Typically we ask people to volunteer for a period of time in our office before they are invited to attend monitoring visits.

Previous arrests or incarceration do not necessarily preclude participation as a volunteer with the John Howard Association of Illinois.
