CAN Archive Benefit Party

If newspapers are the first draft of history, CAN Journal is the first draft of Cleveland art history, not only reporting and spreading the word about events in the present, but documenting art, artists, and issues year after year in literally thousands of stories, for posterity.

You can help us ensure the preservation of this record. Celebrate with us as CAN Journal embarks upon archiving relationships with Cleveland Public Library, Case Western Reserve University Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Library, Artists Archives of the Western Reserve Library, and the Cleveland Institute of Art Library--each of which will keep in their collectrions archivally boxed, complete sets of CAN Journal, lined with papers marbled and hand-made by Cleveland artists.

The celebration is 6:30 - 9:30 pm Saturday, October 21 in the Cleveland Public Library, 325 Superior Avenue.

The party includes a program featuring the unveiling of the archives, music, food, and drinks. Adjacent parking included.
