Forest Therapy Workshop | Saturday, March 28th

Thank you for your interest in the Columbia Springs Family Discount Forest Therapy Workshop! Please read through the workshop description below and fill out this form to reserve your spot.

Forest Therapy Workshop: Family Discount Day

The smell of western red cedar, the sounds of wind, the crunch of maple leaves below your feet. Immerse yourself and join us for a guided Forest Therapy Workshop at Columbia Springs! Experience a series of slow, mindful activities designed to open and engage the senses and connect you with nature in a way that invites healing interactions. These tools and activities can be used in the future for yourself to relax and restore yourself. This relaxing experience is hosted entirely outdoors, rain or shine. We will engage in about a half mile of slow walking, and non-vigorous activity. Read an article written by The Columbian here!  Learn more about our instructor, Elizabeth Koch, and the practice of Forest Therapy, or Forest Bathing, here.

This class will be altered to accomodate children (over the age of 5) and adults. We believe this workshop will help children who have trouble focusing. Parents are required to attend the workshop with their children.

When: Saturday, March 28th, 10:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Where: Columbia Springs, 12208 SE Evergreen Hwy, Vancouver, WA 98683
You can park in our main parking lot. The instructor, Elizabeth, will meet you at the picnic tables in the parking lot.
Cost: There is a $50 per four person family fee for this class which you can pay with your credit card on this form. This is a discounted rate from our normal $30 per person fee. There is no discount for families with less than four people. Additional family members can be added for $10/person.

The fine print:

  • Pre-registration is required for workshops.
  • There are no refunds. If you sign up and are unable to attend, you will be given a credit to attend a future class of your choice. You may only switch to a new class one time.
  • Safety is our top priority. Workshops may be canceled in the event of high winds or lightning storms.
  • Please be prepared to walk for about one mile on uneven trails.

You will receive a reminder email from us a few days prior to the class with more info on parking, a map of our site, etc. For questions, email events@columbiasprings.org or call 360-882-0936 x 230.
