Celebrate
Spring Equinox Drum Circle

Friday, March 23rd
6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Private Monrovia Home

Fingers on drum

Celebrate the beginning of spring while discovering a powerful tool for empowerment and well-being! Recreational drumming is not about the music. It’s about having fun, reducing stress, inspiring self-expression, creating community and celebrating life! It’s an opportunity to get out of your head and into rhythm with your heart as you move your body.

You don’t have to be musical or be able to keep a beat to enjoy the recreational and health benefits of drumming, though many first time drummers discover their inner music maker as part of the experience.
Registration closes Wednesday, March 21
(or when spaces are filled)

What's included?

  • Facilitated group drum circle with a variety of percussion instruments from small hand shakers to floor drums – there will be something for everybody
  • Guided reflection on creating a spring rhythm of recreation and renewal
  • Drinks and appetizers

Why drumming?

In addition to being a whole lot of fun, emerging research indicates group drumming has multiple health benefits, including:
  • Reduced depression, anger, interpersonal problems, burnout
  • Improved school/work performance, self-esteem, behavior toward others

Why the equinox?

The spring equinox announces the transition from winter's quiet into the increasing energy of longer days and shorter nights. A great time to come into rhythm with yourself and the season in community with others! Put aside the busyness of life to reconnect with your soul and the love that empowers you to be alive and well in whatever season of life you find yourself.
Compassionate Community Scholarships

In order to make our programs available to as many women as possible, we invite women with financial constraints to volunteer in partial payment for events. Sometimes we have funds to offer a full scholarship. We don't want anyone to miss out due to finances. So please make your need known.

Please send your request for scholarship assistance to aliveandwellwomen@gmail.com
