Stewardship

Help us rescue, restore and preserve natural resources .

Wildflower Rescue -Springtime activities of saving wildflowers from construction sites, repotting and annual sale.

Trail Building / Maintenance – help the public safely enjoy our natural areas.

Carpentry / Construction – help build or repair outdoor stairs and platforms.

Work Bees –Assist our Stewardship team in our Natural Areas and Preserves with tree plantings, clean-ups, and removal of invasive species.

Water Quality Stream Samplers – collect data about water quality on streams.

Trail Stewards – This is an independent, ongoing commitment involving keeping our trails clear year round - may require use of small hand tools.

Palmer Woods Trail Crew - Weekly Workbees to help maintain the mountain bike trails for safety.

Outreach

Help us promote the Leelanau Conservancy.

Marketing and Graphic Design - help us create content for our website and social media.

Event Assitance –Assist the Event Manager with set-up, service and breakdown at donor appreciation and outreach events.

Photographer/Videographer – take photos or video of our properties and events; share your photos of Leelanau online with #whyleelanau hashtag.

Docent – This is a major commitment involving 30 hours of training along with leading hikes throughout the year at our Natural Areas.

Office Assistance

Help with mailings and various office related duties.

Mailing Crew – stuff and address envelopes.

Front Desk - help greet visitors, answer phones, scanning and filing.
