Tadhg O'Toole Scholarship Fund

In April of 2017, we lost a Fellow and friend, Tadhg O’Toole (Class 18) to cancer. Tadhg left a legacy of how to live a compassionate life, supportive of those around us. Whitney Rowe (Class 18) was Tadhg’s partner. She experienced firsthand his positive impact on so many lives, his driving force for creativity and how he strived to make the world a better place. He was dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs as a partner, mentor, and investor -  a dedication hopefully carried on by all those whose lives he touched.

In memory of Tadhg, and to support the next Kauffman Fellows, we are launching the Tadhg O'Toole Scholarship Fund. Initially, it is a three-year fund with a goal to raise $25k per year. It will go to one new Fellow in each of classes 23, 24 and 25.

The scholarship will be awarded to the one new Fellow who portrays the same qualities as Tadhg, including integrity, compassion, thoughtfulness, insight, and generosity. It will be targeted to a Fellow who has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a background in building businesses and the leadership characteristics that Tadhg possessed. The recipient will also require financial assistance to participate in the Kauffman Fellows Program.

We are asking for your support today for the Tadhg O'Toole Scholarship Fund. All donations by Kauffman Fellows will be matched by the Center for Venture Education (CVE), so your contribution is doubled!

We will also be looking for outside individuals and organizations to contribute. If you know of any that may have interest, please contact me (john@kfp.org).

You can contribute any amount as a three-year commitment, a one-time payment, and/or in monthly, quarterly or annual payments. Contributions will be accepted through June, 2018 for the Class 23 Kauffman Fellow Candidate to benefit from. After June, 2018, any donations received will go toward the following year's candidate (Class 24).

Donations received before December 31, 2017 are eligible as a charitable tax deduction for US tax filings for tax year 2017. Contributions on or after January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018, are eligible as a charitable tax deduction for US tax filings for the year 2018.

Thank you for your donation!
