These questions help us get to know more about you, your interests and experiences, and what inspired you to apply to be a mentor at Y-WE. They also help us pair mentors with the right program. We shape our programs around the needs, passions, and goals of youth participants as well as the adults in the Y-WE community, so your answers are very helpful to us :).

As a mentor, your consistent attendance is essential! Please check the dates of the program you are applying for to make sure you can attend all or most of the program, and plan to make attending mentor trainings and meetings a priority. Y-WE offers Equity Stipends for mentors who would otherwise be unable to volunteer their time. Would you like more info on the stipend? This has no bearing on the mentor selection process. *

While not required, some mentors also support programs by transporting youth in personal or Y-WE vehicles. Are you willing to be a driver if needed? Y-WE can reimburse you for mileage! (select all that apply) *

Prospective drivers must submit appropriate documents before driving on behalf of Y-WE (license, proof of insurance, etc). Driving support is one of the most impactful ways to help keep programs accessible to youth!
