Tell the truth, share your story, and connect with fellow writers at the Literary Cleveland Nonfiction Summer Camp. A four-week mix of in-person interactive field trips and online group workshop meetings, this Nonfiction Summer Camp is designed to create solidarity, camaraderie, and connection among Northeastern Ohio writers of all experience levels.
Whether you are writing a memoir, personal essays, or creative nonfiction, Story Club Cleveland founder Dana Norris will lead you through research, narrative structure, scene making, style and more. The month will culminate with sharing at Story Club Cleveland on September 6.
Creative Nonfiction of all experience levels are welcome. Each class week will feature: one Saturday in-person interactive field trip, some outside-of-class generative writing time, and one Wednesday evening class meeting via Zoom. Each Wednesday session will feature a mix of work sharing, group discussions, mini craft lessons, best practice sharing, and/or writing sprints.
