Welcome to the Leadership Pasadena Community Leadership Course for Veterans application process. We are honored to offer this course for our military heroes as you return to the San Gabriel Valley. Thank you for your service and your dedication to our country. The CLCV is an award winning “best practice” leadership course (originally developed in 2014 by Leadership Pittsburgh that we have adapted for the San Gabriel Valley with their permission free of charge) that consists of a 2 day retreat, 13 sessions, optional workshops and a graduation ceremony. The welcome reception will be on May 6, the retreat will be May 10-11 and the first session will be on May 24th. Sessions will be delivered on two Fridays per month through the end of September at iconic locations in San Gabriel valley. Class size is limited to 20. Please tell us about yourself by completing this application form. Receipt of your form will be confirmed within one week of submission (if you have not heard from us by then, email us at info@leadershippasadena.org). We will contact selected applicants to talk about the program with you in person. You will be informed of the decision on your application within 2 weeks after your interview. ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
Eligibility Participation in this course is based on a selection-process. Applicants must be military veterans who served after September 11, 2001 and achieved a rank of at least E4. Additionally, applicants must be separated or a current service member who is not within their PCS window. Applications are due by April 15, 2019. No application fee is required. Due to the fundraising efforts of Leadership Pasadena and generous donors like The Ahmanson Foundation, Foothill Transit and So Cal Gas Company, this course is being made available for a nominal tuition fee of $300. Tuition will be due upon acceptance but may be paid in installments or via credit card--No application fee is required. HOWEVER, the Leadership Pasadena Board of Directors does not want tuition to be a barrier to your application thus SCHOLARSHIPS are available. Please indicate your interest in a scholarship on the application form.

The CLCV is an award winning “best practice” leadership course developed by Leadership Pittsburgh that consists of a 2 day retreat, 10 sessions, a community impact project and a graduation. The welcome orientation is scheduled for May 2 from 6:30-8 pm, the retreat will be from May 11th at 3 pm to May 12th at 5 pm, and the first session will begin May 18th and will be delivered every other Friday from 8:45 am to 1:30 pm through the end of September at iconic locations in San Gabriel valley. Class size is limited to 20. In order for you to benefit from this course, your full participation is essential. Participants are required to attend at least 80 percent of all scheduled seminars in order to graduate.
