Dear Seattle Department Of Transportation,

The heart of every neighborhood should have pedestrianized streets that invited people to gather, celebrate art, shop, play, build community and relax. These streets could help us reach our safety, equity, and climate goals.

Please prioritize creating these spaces for people in the Seattle Transportation Plan and the next transportation levy. And please act quickly to test these ideas soon — we don't need years of study and process.
