LAND & SEA CLEANUP

UPDATED 9/18/20: THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST. WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT HAVE MET CAPACITY AT ALL OF OUR SITES. WE HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US NEXT TIME!

 

Join us, Sustainable Marblehead and SPUR as we come together to care for our local communities. We will be mobilizing volunteers to clean trash and debris from our ocean, beaches and parks in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott. Come join us on Sunday, September 20th between 10:30am-11:30am at one of the many locations below. 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Volunteers commit to adhering strictly to current CDC guidelines for safety and governmental restrictions.

  • Social distancing of at least six feet from those not from your household and the wearing of masks will be required. Groups will be limited in size.

  • Vinyl gloves and trash bags will be provided.

We are excited to announce that we have reached our capacity at the following locations: The Bird Sanctuary, Black Joe's/Steer Swamp, Bud Orne Playground & Fields, Children's Island, Chandler Hovey, Collins Cove, Devereux Beach, Ewing Woods, Fisherman's Beach, Forest River Park, Gashouse Beach, Gatchell Playground, Goldwaithe, Gracie Oliver, Herald King, SwampscottHigh Rock Park, Keaney Park, Lead Mills/Wyman Woods/ Hammond Nature Center, Lynn Commons, Palmer Cove Park, Salem Philips Beach, Phillips Park, Preston Beach, Red Rock Park, Redds Pond, Seaside, Salem Commons, Salem Willows, Stramski Playground & Boat Launch area, Village School & Robinson Farm and Winter Island. Please choose from the many other options below:

Team Leads are responsible for coordinating the pick-up and drop-off of supplies with the Volunteer & Event Drive Manager and will be the point person at that location.
Depending on state and local guidelines at the time of the event, we are looking into having a small get together with you and your family. If you might be interested in bringing your bagged lunch, click yes below and we will send out more information as the time gets closer.
If you're interested in bringing along your paddle board, kayak, sail boat or motor boat to help us clean the harbor, please check the boxes below.
