Hermits and Hybrids

Reboot or refresh your writing practice with a month of hermit crab essays and other hybrid and experimental forms. Each class will consist of a brief introduction, time for writing, and time for sharing. This is a great way to stretch your comfort zone in terms of form, or just have fun with writing again.

Instructor: Lara Lillibridge (she/zher) is the author of Mama, Mama, Only Mama (Skyhorse, 2019), Girlish: Growing Up in a Lesbian Home (Skyhorse, 2018) and co-editor of the anthology, Feminine Rising: Voices of Power and Invisibility (Cynren Press, 2019). In 2019 she judged creative nonfiction for AWP’s Intro Journal Project and currently serves as a mentor for AWP's Writer to Writer program. Lillibridge is the Interviews Editor for Hippocampus Magazine and was their Literary Citizen of the Year for 2019. She also writes for children under the name L.B.
