Southeast Solar Workshop Registration Form

The Southeast Solar Power and Wildlife/Natural Resources Workshop, planned by the Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute and hosted by Southern Company, will take place June 12-13, 2024 at the Georgia Power Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.   

The workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges for the build-out of solar power while conserving wildlife in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

Workshop Objectives   

  • Understanding utility-scale solar development and future projections in the Southeastern states and navigating the complexities and potential avenues for growth   
  • Exploring the scientific intricacies of large utility-scale solar energy and wildlife   
  • Analyzing the spectrum of federal, state, and local solar development laws, covering permitting, risk evaluation, and economic perspectives   
  • Creating a platform for problem-solving and fostering improved collaboration among stakeholders

Cancellations up to June 1 will be issued a refund minus a $20 administrative fee. Cancellations received after June 1 will not be eligible for a refund, but substitutions will be allowed.
