Hundred Nights Amazing Race Rules

Team Participant Rules

  • All participants must be 13 years or older, with minors accompanied by someone 18 years or older
  • Amazing Race participants must obey all laws, traffic/pedestrian signals, and use sidewalks and crosswalks to ensure their safety and the safety of the public
  • All participants must follow a “Leave No Trace” ethic, no littering of any kind is allowed
  • Race timing will begin at the start of the race and ends when the entire team crosses the finish line; time recorded by race management is the official time
  • All participants will be given a passport that Challenge Sponsors will stamp after teams (1) successfully complete the challenge, and (2) take a selfie at the sponsor location
  • Team members must stay within 20 feet of one another and cannot race ahead of their teammate
  • Hindering other teams is not permitted; partnering with other teams is permitted - Hundred Nights is all about lending others a helping hand!
  • Teams must exclusively travel under their own power during the race; route is handicap accessible
  • Participants are not allowed to bring pets
  • In the event of an emergency, teams should call 911 first before contacting race management. You are responsible for your own safety…be smart, use your best judgment and stay safe! You can contact race management at any challenge location.
  • Team members must agree to all waivers and rules in order to participate
  • Be respectful and kind: this event would not be possible without the work of many sponsors, volunteers, and participants - keep it fun for everyone!

Spectator Rules

  • Friends and family members are encouraged to visit Challenge Sponsor locations to cheer for participants but are not allowed to follow or join teams along the course. This is for the safety of participants, fans, and the public.

Most Important Rule: Have fun! Enjoy the time exploring downtown Keene and giving back to your community!

Amazing Race Waiver

Hundred Nights Amazing Race Waiver

  • What this form is and definitions of terms used throughout:
    • The Waiver and Release of Liability (the “Waiver”) must be carefully read and signed prior to participation in the HUNDRED NIGHTS AMAZING RACE (“Event”) to be held on SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2023. As used herein, the term “Releasees'' is defined to include the following: (i) HUNDRED NIGHTS, INC its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, owners, members, managers, directors, officers, past and present employees, agents, representatives, successors,  and assigns; (iii) any Event volunteers; and (iv) any Event sponsors, sponsor’s affiliates and contractors, and their respective employees
  • Agreeing to follow rules & all laws:
    • We agree to be familiar with and abide by the Rules and Regulations established for the Event, and accept sole responsibility for our own conduct and actions while participating in the Event
  • Certifying understanding of event type & assumption of risk:
    • The risks involved include, but are not limited to: All manner of injury resulting from falling off both permanent and portable structures. Cuts and abrasions resulting from skin contact with permanent and portable structures, the ground, or other participants. Muscular-skeletal injuries including pulled muscles, dislocations, broken bones, strains, and sprains. All manner of injury resulting from environmental factors, including sunburn, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, hypothermia, headaches, outdoor allergies, insect bites, and animal bites.
    • We expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks involved in this Event. Our participation in this activity is purely voluntary and we elect to participate in spite of the risks.
  • Certifying fitness to take part:
    • We represent and warrant to Releasees that we are in good physical condition to be able to safely participate in this Event and have no medical condition that would make participation more hazardous in this Event that will involve walking (or similar travel under own power) and may involve other physical challenges such as running, balancing, jumping, carrying items, etc.
  • Insurance and medical care costs in the event of injury or damage:
    • We certify that we have health, accident and liability insurance to cover any bodily injury or property damage we may cause or suffer while participating in this Event, or else we agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage. 
  • Release of liability:
    • We agree on behalf of ourselves and/or our child/ward and our/their personal representatives, successors, heirs, and assigns to hold the Releasees harmless from any and all claims or causes of action arising out of our participation in the Event. We expressly release and discharge Releasees from any and all liability, claims, demands or causes of action whatsoever arising out of any damage, loss, personal injury or death to ourselves, while participating in any of the activities, including without limitation, the race course, strenuous bodily movement, and exposure to extreme conditions. This release is valid and effective whether the damage, loss or death is a result of any act or omission on the part of any of Releasees or from any other cause. This Waiver and Release of all liability includes, without limitation, injuries, illness, or accidents, which may occur as a result of (a) participating in the Event, (b) any equipment which may malfunction or break, (c) improper maintenance of any equipment, or (d) slipping and falling while taking part in the Event. We understand and we voluntarily give up the right to sue the above mentioned parties.
  • Consent to publicity:
    • We hereby consent to any publicity, including the use of our names, in connection with our participation in the Event. We hereby give the Releasees the right and permission to own and publish any video, audio recording, and/or photographs taken during participation in the Event. 
  • Cancellation; non-refundable event:
    • We understand and agree that Releasees reserve the right to cancel the Event at any time and for any reason, such as inclement weather, or any reason that may affect the safety and security of Event participants and attendees. In the event of such cancellation, there will be no refund.
  • Certifying you’ve both read and understand this waiver
    • We indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage or cost they may incur while we are at the Event or on the Premises, whether or not caused by the active or passive negligence of the Releasees.
    • Our agreement below indicates we have read this entire document, we understand how it affects our legal rights, and we agree to be bound by its terms.
