Home for the Holidays

In Washington State, there are about 10,000 people incarcerated in local jails. Most of these people have not been convicted of a crime, and many are held based on their ability to pay bail.

Thanks to your support, this year we have freed 763 people, with an average bail request of $4,602. However, our donations are not keeping pace with the demand, as local leaders double down on failed, backwards, punitive approaches to addressing problems like homelessness and drug addiction. This holiday season, can you help us bring more of our community members home for the holidays to fight their charges from a place of freedom?

We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, EIN 83-1096468. We currently operate in King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties in Washington State. Donations to NCBF are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
