The purpose of the Skills Enhancement Program is to increase the income and economic self-sufficiency of income-eligible households by helping adult members who are working a minimum of 20 hours/week acquire the skills needed to obtain higher-paying jobs with health benefits. This is accomplished through financial assistance that pays towards tuition, childcare, and transportation expenses related to returning to school.
Our Skills Enhancement Program offers opportunities in various career fields such as clinical nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, education assistant, entry-level social worker, auto diagnostic technician, auto service attendant, and many others.
