Board Member & Events Committee Application

We’re looking to grow the organization with capable and passionate leaders. Here is an overview of two opportunities to engage in a leadership capacity within LSC:

Board Member Position: Being a part of our Board of Directors means shaping the strategic direction of LSC and ensuring we continue to create a meaningful impact within Snohomish County. Your insights and experience would be instrumental in guiding our various programs and initiatives. Importantly, please note that it is not a requirement to be an alumni of the LSC program to serve on the board.

Responsibilities as a board member would include (an additional attachment has been provided to quantify time commitment and provide some overview of decision-making process):

·      Defining and endorsing the organization's mission, vision, and strategic direction, including governance and policy decisions.

·      Assisting with fundraising and resource allocation for financial sustainability.

·      Advocating for LSC and building strong community partnerships.

·      Active participation in board meetings, committee work, and special events.

Member of the Events Committee: As a Member of our Events Committee, you would be instrumental in orchestrating our various events throughout the year, ensuring they reflect our mission and values while resonating with our community.

Your involvement would encompass:

·      Collaborating to plan and execute memorable and impactful events.

·      Tapping into your network for sponsorships, partnerships, and broadened participation.

·      Offering creative insights to ensure engagement and significance in our events.

·      Ensuring alignment of events with LSC's overarching objectives and themes.
