Villains and Vagabonds

Do you have a favorite villain that you just love to hate? Have you noticed that the villains have the best songs and fantastic lines?  Learn exciting song literature, build vocal technique, and strong stage presence to carry some of the most sensational roles. Sing and learn choreography and theater games. Perform for your family and friends at the end of the camp celebration.

Grades: 3rd-8th Grade

Dates and Times: July 22-26, 9 am - 4 pm

Location: Church of the Good Shepherd

Cost: $350 (Financial assistance available)

Each day will be broken into music rehearsal, choreography, and general theater/performance skills as we build a musical revue from our best villains and vagabonds.

Media Consent and Release

Throughout the choral season, choristers may be highlighted in efforts to promote Raleigh Youth Choir (“RYC”) activities and achievements. For example, singers may be featured in recruiting and promotional materials to raise awareness of our performances and programs through newspapers, radio and television spots, the internet (including social media and the RBC webpage), DVD’s, displays, flyers, brochures, and other types of media. As parent or guardian, I hereby give the RYC, its staff, and authorized media organizations permission to print, photograph, and record my child for use in audio, video, film, or any other electronic, digital and printed media. This is with the express understanding that the RYC, through its representatives will reproduce said photograph, video, likeness, or image only for the purposes stated above and no such media will be used by RYC or its staff in a "for profit" enterprise. Any monetary revenue traceable to the use of such media shall be used by the RYC consistent with its non-profit mission. I understand that I will not receive monetary compensation for my child's participation in any RYC activity. I further release and relieve the RYC, its Board of Directors, staff, and any other representatives from any liabilities, known or unknown, arising out of the use of these media. Revocation of this Form must be done in writing and submitted to a proper representative of the RYC. Absent a written revocation this form is binding for the duration of the child’s membership with the RYC. I certify that I have read this Media Consent & Release Form and the statements and declarations contained herein and fully understand its terms and conditions.

Payment Options

The fee for participating in Villains and Vagabonds is $350. RYC offers multiple payment options and financial assistance. Please choose the one that works best for you.

You can also bring a check to Church of the Good Shepherd during normal business hours or on Monday evening rehearsals and put your check in our new dropbox! If you choose this option, please properly label your payment so that we know what to use it for!

Bank Information for Full Pay Direct Debit (ACH)

If you have chosen a direct draft for your payment, the RYC Treasurer will make a draft of the $350 Summer Camp Registration fee in addition to your typical year/month's tuition. Please note this option is only available for those singers who are already enrolled in ACH payments.

For ACH transactions, please note the following:

This authorization will remain in effect until cancelled in writing. You agree to notify Raleigh Youth Choir in writing of any changes in your account information or termination of this authorization at least 15 days prior to the next billing date. If the above noted periodic payment dates fall on a weekend or holiday, you understand that the payment may be executed on the next business day.  You understand that because this is an electronic transaction, these funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the above noted periodic transaction dates. In the case of an ACH Transaction being rejected for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), Raleigh Youth Choir may at its discretion attempt to process the charge again within 30 days and you agree to an additional $30 charge for each attempt returned NSF which will be initiated as a separate transaction from the authorized recurring payment. You acknowledge that the origination of ACH transactions to your account must comply with the provisions of U.S. law.  You agree not to dispute this recurring billing with your bank so long as the transactions correspond to the terms indicated in this authorization form.  

Financial Assistance

The Raleigh Youth Choir is committed to accessibility and offers a need-based financial assistance program. Since you have requested more information about financial assistance, the RYC Treasurer will provide details about the process separately.
