Register for the FROSTY 40

Get outdoors this winter to refresh your soul by joining Carpenter Nature Center’s Frosty 40 winter challenge. Since CNC is turning 40 years old in 2021 we challenge you to walk, run, cross-country ski or snowshoe 40 miles in 40 days between January 1 and March 20, the first day of spring. Choose your own 40-day schedule, starting anytime between January 1 and February 8 to finish by March 20.

The $40 fee covers your registration, a short sleeve t-shirt, and the option of becoming a “Friend of CNC” to receive free snowshoe rentals at CNC for the season. A portion of the registration fee is fee is tax deductible, which goes to supporting CNC’s educational programs. If you want to forego the t-shirt, the whole fee is tax-deductible. Students in K-12 can register for $20, which includes a $10 donation and a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available mid-February, to be picked up at CNC or will be mailed to you if you are not able to come to CNC.

All proceeds support environmental education programming and habitat conservation.

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry fee, I hereby for myself, heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release, and discharge any organization associated with the event, CNC staff, volunteers, any and all sponsors including their agents, employees, or anyone acting on their behalf, from any and all claims or liability for death, personal injury or property damage of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of, or in the course of, my participating in this event.I know I should not enter this event unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those and other risks. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. As it applies to my participation in this event, I agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and agree to abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state.All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control to protect the safety of participants. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice.
