VOLUNTEER 2024 Fundraiser - A Chance To Shine

Join us in volunteering for the 2nd annual A Chance to Shine, a talent showcase fundraiser focusing on abilities, not disabilities! The event will showcase a variety of talents, including singing, dancing, magic, stand-up comedy, and so much more!

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome.

 

A Chance To Shine

Date: Sunday, September 22nd

Show Time: 3pm (Volunteer commitment times vary - see below)

Location: Hermitage High School (8301 Hungary Spring Rd, Henrico, VA 23228)

 

Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, September 19th from 5-8pm

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN ALL AREAS:

Backstage support (2:00-6pm - including dress rehearsal)

Holding room support (2:00-6pm - including dress rehearsal)

Ushers (2:00-6pm)

Concessions (2:00-6pm)

Ticket booth (2:00-3:30pm)

Raffles (1-6pm)

Decorations/Set up (12-3pm)

 

All proceeds from this fundraiser go to Jacob's Chance, 501(c)3, towards continuing to provide programs for individuals with disabilities in central VA. Jacob's Chance provides athletics, fitness, social programs, day enrichment, and outdoor adventures for persons with disabilities ages 5-40 in Central Virginia. No one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. Money raised from this event helps keep registration costs low and provide financial assistance so everyone can participate.
