Voices from the Edge

Are you a frontline worker in any position listed as essential in Ohio's Stay-at-Home order from March 2020? Have you had to put your health at risk during this pandemic in order to ensure our communities have access to groceries, deliveries, health care and other essential services?

Join us for a free eight-week online writing program designed to help you write about your experiences, connect with other essential workers, and share your story. This workshop includes writing exercises and prompts, occasional readings, opportunities to share work, and more.

Instructor: Christopher Johnston has published more than 3,000 articles in numerous publications, including American Theatre, Balanced Living, Christian Science Monitor, Cleveland Magazine, Crain’s Cleveland Business, History Magazine, The Plain Dealer, Scientific American, and Time.com. His book, Shattering Silences: Strategies to Prevent Sexual Assault, Heal Survivors, and Bring Assailants to Justice was published by Skyhorse Publishers in May 2018. Christopher was an instructor for Voices from the Edge in 2021, and as coordinator for the program he helped make the Voices from the Edge anthology possible.
