About us

Today, Mourning Sun Children’s Foundation awards up to $20,000 annually to a deserving student who has experienced loss or a hardship, yet is still driven by their goal to better their lives and reach their educational dreams. We provide a safe and fun place for them at the Sunrise Center to work through and find better understanding of the grief and emotions they are struggling with. And we provide a memorial grant to our local high schools for their certified technical education programs, to better assist those students that won't be attending a four year college but still want to make a difference in this world.
