Native Planting at Cedar Mill 10/19

Planting at Cedar Mill Wetlands

Join TWC volunteers for a day of native plantings at Cedar Mill Wetlands near Beaverton. This complex series of ponds and streams is home to beavers, birds, amphibians, fish and more. The amphibians in particular rely on aquatic vegetation as attachment material for their egg masses during breeding season. We’ll bring hundreds of sedge and rush plugs, along with a few native shrub plants, down into the shallow waters to add some much needed complexity and stability to their breeding grounds. It should be very dirty work! Chest-waders are available upon request. This event is free and family friendly. All equipment is provided. You will receive a confirmation email with full details several days before the event.
